1. Kallar in the rains

she was wild that evening and pregnant with passion

and in the rain she danced in abandon, they tried to

tie her down with boundaries in stone, straining to

hold her ampleness, which spilled every now and

then in the ferine lip-locks with inane shores

that evening she was a consuming passion, reigning

and savouring and then moving on, leaving behind the pebbles and a sigh

the river, she danced that evening

2. Written in autumn

it’s not painful anymore to turn back and

look at the long shadows, mine and yours,
hand in hand, leaning towards the evening

light, it does not  ache to pause and think

of the colours that were, I know now life is

not a single bright summer but an autumn too,

where the dullness of light soothes and

the leaves bleed in red and brown and flow
down the street of life, even while the shorn
branches watch in helpless solitude

my love, hold me tight till I lose this fear,

this fear of the autumn passing on to a

white winter, perhaps black, where life

chooses its own patterns in the kaleidoscope

thats time, where even one’s shadow is a luxury.

I liked both the above poems.I hope they won’t tie her down. At the end, they do. They often succeed.

Second one is life in its various phases passing through.
    Best wishes.
